Great guidelines. Reminds me of a few years ago. We were redesigning a web site for a community. As is often the case with communities, there were multiple organizations (and agendas) involved. The decision of which businesses should be listed in the Business Directory had become contentious as one of the organizations (who was funding part of the site) felt only the businesses that belonged to their organization should be listed. Fortunately we were able to help them see there are always possibilities to accommodate each other's needs. They ended up with a directory that lists all the businesses and highlights those that are members of the funding organization. A win for everyone including visitors to the site, which hopefully turn into visitors to the community.
